Thank you very much for your participation in Raleigh Challenge - Wilson Trail 2008 (RCWT 2008). Please find details of the Participant Briefing below:
Participant Briefing:
The objectives of the Participant Briefing are to provide further information of RCWT 2008 to participants and help you to be better prepared for the race. Important information of the race will be highlighted; Participant Handbooks/T-shirts as souvenirs will be distributed as well. Therefore, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND all participants to attend the Participant Briefing.
Participant Briefing details are as follows:
Date : 31 August 2008 (Sunday)
Venue: Main Hall, Shun Lee Estate Community Centre
(Please refer to Map and Transport Means)
Address: 2 Shun Chi Street, Shun Lee Estate, Kowloon
Content:
Race procedures, route information*, locations of checkpoints, suggested equipment and pre-competition preparations, etc.
*Special arrangement of the route affected by the landslides will be announced in this briefing in details.
Session:
1. Cantonese Session
Registration: 10:30 am
2. English Session
Registration: 2:00 pm
Important notes:
1. Participants of the same team must attend the same session.
2. At least one member of each team must attend the briefing.
3. If none of the team members can attend the briefing, please sign the Authorization Form and authorize a friend/relative to attend the briefing. Please click HERE to download the Form. Please complete and send it back to us by fax or post, or hand it in at the Participant Briefing.
4. Participant Verification Form will be distributed for verification of personal details of ALL team members during the Participant Briefing. Please bring along related documents for verification.
5. All Elite teams must hand in a copy of certificate of outstanding performance in other major hiking event and all full-time students must hand in copies of Student IDs on or before the Participant Briefing.
6. Adverse Weather Arrangement: If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Storm Warning is still in effect after 07:30am, ALL sessions of the briefing will be cancelled. Further arrangement will be announced in our official website later that day.
Action required:
1. The route where the participants need to pay attention will be highlighted during the briefing. Participants are advised to complete the trail once before the briefing to have a better understanding on the content of the briefing.
